Sonepar US is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Vice President of Strategic Accounts, Electrical Contracting and Construction. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Sonepar vision and strategy, while building the organizational structure and competencies to support growth within the enterprise accounts segment.
This is a virtually based opportunity, with the successful candidate conveniently located near a major international airport.
What You Will Do:
- Strategic Development and Execution:
- Collaborate with Regional and OpCo Presidents and vertical segment leaders to create and execute market growth strategies for key accounts in high-growth segments.
- Define and drive a centralized enterprise purchasing strategy.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to drive growth within key verticals such as data centers, electrical contracting, and government, focusing on national accounts and enterprise-level opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for assigned accounts and identify and pursue new business relationships.
- Account Management, Reporting, and Market Analysis:
- Develop, coach and manager direct reports to achieve engagement and performance results.
- Oversee high-value accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with executive leaders.
- Conduct business reviews to assess performance.
- Establish KPIs and provide updates to senior leadership.
- Create and review performance scorecards.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions.
- Operation Management and Results Delivery:
- Deliver results according to plan.
- Prepare and deliver regular forecast reports.
- Negotiate and close contracts.
- Oversee renewals and ensure compliance.
- Identify and grow new business opportunities and expand market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Development:
- Align with teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Recommend products and vendors.
- Oversee customer training events.
- Represent the company in industry groups.
- Manage key external relationships.
- Monitor legislative impacts.
- Lead and participate in national marketing events.
- Drive value for operating companies.
- Lead and mentor account managers.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, business management, finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise/national accounts.
- 5+ years of leading successful and diverse sales teams.
- Experience leading centralized and decentralized teams across commercial, customer, and vendor-facing sales enterprise environments.
- Advanced knowledge of data centers, government, electrical contracting, and electrical distribution business segments.
- Proficiency in designing meaningful goals, KPIs, CRM, and sales tools.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal/external).
- Ability to travel across the USA on average 50%.
- Authorized to work in the USA without employment sponsorship now or in the future.
- Compensation range, base salary $195-265,000
