Operations Supervisor monitors the efficiency of the department and apply methods to improve processes. The position will keep track of key performance indicators, monitor compliance with operational policies, and the progress of tasks.
What a day in this role looks like:
General Responsibilities
- Oversee efficiency of operational processes
- Ensure shipping deadlines are met
- Identify, Investigate, and resolve delays in shift operations
- Monitor the maintenance and repairs to equipment
- Analyze business requirements and customer needs
- Deal directly with vendors and customers to ensure that their needs are being met
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff
- Oversee daily workflow
- Perform constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handle disciplinary actions and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
What we are looking for you to bring to us:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred
Experience: Two or more years of operations experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of operation logistics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Highly organized analytical thinker with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of codes, laws, regulations, and policies
- Working in an office and warehouse setting
- Be able to work with heavy machinery
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, 100 pounds with the help of two or more team members
- Stand, walk, and handle products for prolonged periods, modest physical exertion
- Availability on weekdays; morning or afternoon shifts
- Hazardous conditions may arise
