SOHO HOUSE BERLIN is a private members' club and hotel in a listed building in the heart of the capital. In addition to restaurants, a fitness studio, rooftop pool, in-house cinema and a spacious spa area, the hotel offers 65 rooms in various sizes, 20 flats and four lofts. In addition to Berlin and Great Britain, there are other houses in the USA, Toronto, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Mumbai. The SOHO HOUSE includes the concept store THE STORE X. The role...

This position is intended to be a parental leave coverage for approximately one year. At Soho House, the Head of Membership & Communications will be responsible for driving the acquisition, retention and communications to our members community. They will drive the day-to-day responsibilities for Soho House Berlin, overseeing all aspects of the member experiences, including House events, member operations and all member communications including communication through our digital apps for digital membership tiers, Connect and Friends. They will manage their time to handle recruitment and acquiring (30% of time), communications, retention and member inquiries (30%) and on the floor face time with members and their guests (40%). They will directly oversee the local team consisting of the membership and events, leading them to deliver the best possible experience for members in the Houses, as well as across our digital platforms.

A successful Head of Membership & Communications knows that partnership and collaboration across multiple departments within the Houses is crucial for creating the engaging, friendly experience our creative members enjoy. The Head of Membership & Communications is responsible for gathering feedback about club developments, levels of service and facilities and developing appropriate responses to ensure a consistently high quality experience for members.

The Head of Membership & Communications will report to the House’s general manager with a dotted line reporting structure to the Membership and Communications Director for the region, with whom they will work to ensure we recruit creative, quality members and keep the “magic” throughout our Houses.
