Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance and Administration to join our team. This key role requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, a proven ability to lead and grow a high-performing team, and expertise in financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving commercial targets, ensuring strict financial control, and managing key back-of-house departments. You will be instrumental in ensuring the business operates profitably and efficiently, focusing on back-of-house operations to maintain seamless communication and effective support for the overall business.

Finance Management

• Oversee all local company accounts and investments, ensuring accurate and timely recording, filing, and reporting of all transactions.

• Provide strategic financial leadership to the organization, supporting commercial targets and profitability goals.

• Analyse and communicate monthly financial results with the General Manager and partners during regular meetings.

• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

• Lead and motivate the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Develop, manage, and review budgets, monitoring performance to identify trends and financial forecasts.

• Handle Billing, Accounts Receivables/Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

• Monitor cash flow, track transactions, and regularly review internal financial reports.

• Suggest updates and improvements to accounting systems, including invoicing processes.

• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with all local regulations.

 • Manage local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings.

 

Financial Analysis and Reporting

o Create and present weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, identifying key results, trends, and financial forecasts.

o Develop comprehensive financial plans and budgets, using data analysis to drive decisions. 

o Regularly review financial plans to identify cost-saving opportunities and increase efficiency.

o Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and financial integrity. 

o Keep the Finance Director Europe updated on key financial issues, performance metrics, and site operations.

 

Back-of-House Management

 • Manage and lead back-of-house departments, including Maintenance, IT and Purchasing, ensuring seamless operations that support the overall business.

• Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure the facility is well-maintained and meets high standards.

• Oversee IT operations to guarantee robust technology infrastructure and support for staff.

• Supervise the Purchasing team, ensuring efficient procurement of quality goods and services within budget.

• Foster effective communication across all back-of-house departments to facilitate smooth business operations.

• Support team development, setting high standards of professionalism and operational excellence. 

 

General Duties

• Support the Finance Director Europe in implementing consistent financial processes across the European region.

 • Lead by example in customer service and team engagement, reinforcing company values.

• Handle additional ad-hoc duties as required.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Hotel Management experience; leadership skills; interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree ormaster's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field

• 7+ years of experience in a Finance leadership role and 5+ years of experience in the hospitality sector, preferably within an international firm

• Advanced excel and analytical skills • Proficient in various financial software applications and programs

• Honesty; integrity; reliability • Attention to detail; organizationalskills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain a high level of business relationship with all partners

• Excellent command of Turkish & English, verbal & written
