Head of Finance, FBP, Japan

As Head of Finance, you will lead all financial operations and strategy for the affiliate, ensuring alignment with global objectives, financial governance, and compliance with local regulations. Acting as a trusted advisor to affiliate and regional leaders, you will deliver insights that support decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and manage risks.

This role blends strategic financial leadership with strong business partnership-driving financial discipline, enhancing operational efficiency, and influencing outcomes across the organisation. From reporting accuracy to planning, treasury, and tax, you'll play a key role in securing the affiliate's long-term success.

Your Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide strategic financial advice to the Affiliate GM and leadership team.
• Act as a trusted advisor, supporting decision-making and risk mitigation.
• Analyze financial options to guide business choices and outcomes.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning in collaboration with FP&A CoE.
• Identify trends and risks, offering clear recommendations.
• Ensure accuracy in planning tools such as BPC and CIS.

• Develop and monitor KPIs to drive financial performance.
• Review results and prepare journal entries as needed.
• Deliver data-driven insights with Analytics CoE.

• Identify business needs and enhance finance-related processes and systems.
• Contribute to cross-functional and global projects focused on efficiency.

• Serve as the finance liaison for the affiliate, coordinating with Tax, Treasury, and AO.
• Build influence across the matrix and resolve issues proactively.
• Foster alignment with enterprise-wide financial models and strategies.

• Support audits and ensure financial compliance with local requirements.
• Liaise with relevant authorities for tax and regulatory filings.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CA, CPA, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in finance roles, ideally within commercial operations and multinational environments.
• Strong understanding of audit, tax, and compliance processes.
• Solid business acumen with proven ability to align financial insights with strategy.
• Skilled in financial planning, modelling, and risk management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
