Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for the Kidney Transplant Program at University Hospital at Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. The Transplant Dietitian will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to guide and support patients across the continuum of the transplant experience.
No weekends!
Start with 3 weeks' vacation and 3 personal days

Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:
- provide exceptional nutrition care to patients throughout all stages of their transplant experience;
- offer individualized counseling to patients prior to, and for at least one year after, their transplant;
- work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members/departments;
- participate in quality improvement projects;
- support inpatient nutrition services as needed; and
- function as a preceptor in support of the dietetic internship program.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:
- Registered Dietitian credentials and CDN in New York;
- renal or transplant experience (preferred);
- excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
- strong verbal and written communication skills; and
- the ability to work with minimal oversight in collaboration with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
