This role supports the Transplant Diagnostics Division (legacy One Lambda) at Thermo Fisher Scientific. We are focused on increasing access to innovative diagnostic testing solutions to support our mission of making the world cleaner, healthier, safer.
How will you make an impact?
The Regional Field Application Specialist will support growth for both existing and prospect accounts in various HLA laboratories within the assigned regional geography. The successful candidate with HLA experience will be responsible for pre/post-sales support, customer implementation, KOL development, internal/external training, among other business objectives.

Territory & Travel: Up to 75% travel within territory (CA, AZ, NM, CO, HI) - primarily Southern CA (80% of business). No relocation assistance is provided.
What will you do?
- Provide customers with pre- and post-sales technical applications support and application assistance.
- Prepare and present technical and training materials for use with existing and new customers.
- Technical resource to our team, driving commercial strategies for existing/new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary matrixed team to provide, voice of customer, flawless service and ensure positive customer experience.
- Document product complaints to the Technical Support Team and collaborate towards a timely resolution.
- Communicate crucial technical product updates to customers to ensure success.
- Develops KOL base across assigned regions and conducts technical seminars/presentations virtually/at customer sites, trade-shows and workshops to drive customer adoption.
- Carries out duties in compliance with established business practices. Completes all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
- Demonstrates a high level of ethics and professionalism with internal collaborators and external customers.
- Travels as required. and occasional lifting of office and/or laboratory equipment up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science or greater in Biological or Chemical Sciences Required AND
- A minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in transplant diagnostics technical/sales and/or training role OR a minimum of 3+ years of work experience in an HLA Laboratory with proficiency in HLA Antibody and Molecular workflows preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of good clinical lab practices, core customer segments, and experience with customer workflow/processes.
- Understanding of market trends with knowledge of competitive landscape.
- Ability to excel in driving relationships which positively influence business growth.
- Strong presentation skills including ability to explain complex concepts in a clear manner.
- Proven record in conflict resolution with ability to propose/implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Excellent observation, analytical, problem solving and learning abilities, passionate about providing outstanding customer solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written skills.
- Motivated individual who values self-direction, possesses an independent work ethic.
- Effective teamwork in a highly matrixed organization.
- Proficient record keeping and attention to detail required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SaleForce RM (plus).

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00-$125,000.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
