Sodexo has an opening for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a member of the Sodexo Payroll Service Center, this position supports multiple functions, including pay transactions, customer service and program administration. This role will have a focus on supporting unit closings and completing all associated payroll functions.
This position is a hybrid role reporting to our Cheektowaga, NY location. Consideration may also be given as a virtual position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handle payroll inquiries via phone and email
- Work with units to establish timeline and processes for unit closings
- Support overall payroll operations inclusive of immediate termination pay calculations, exception payments, pay data and deduction entries.
- Handle any issues to support the overall business operations

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of payroll experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
- The ability to work in a detailed, time-sensitive and fast paced environment
- Experience meeting multiple deadlines.
- Strong payroll accounting/banking experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- ADP or other payroll system experience preferred
- Multi-lingual helpful, not required

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year related experience in payroll administration and/or table maintenance
