Sodexo is seeking a Executive Director of Catering & Events for University of Albany in Albany, NY. The right candidate will have strong customer service skills, strong organization, and be able to ensure the successful execution of all catering events. Our successful Catering Director will WOW our clients with flawless execution for casual and high-profile events taking place around the campus. The Catering Director will manage all catering and sales operations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Catering professional to showcase their experience and expertise will small to large events which may include packaged meals, buffet-style and plated meals.

This Executive Director of Catering & Eventswill create elegant and sophisticated catering experiences, providing our clients with one-of-a-kind events. This role is responsible for the organization and execution of all catering events, with emphasis on attention to detail. The position requires availability for event and business needs scheduling. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. Joining us at one of our campus sites enables you to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment. This role offers a salary range of $105K-$115K annually.

What You'll Do
- identify customer needs and expectations;
- ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met;
- educate and develop rapport with clients and promote partnerships;
- promote a customer/client centered culture that strives to exceed customer and client needs;
- coordinate all unit catering initiatives to drive sales growth and track results.
- maintain and improve service level resulting in increased customer satisfaction;
- ensure all HAACP standards are followed; and/or
- demonstrate resourcefulness and quick responsiveness to client and customer requests.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
