Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Environmental Services/Custodial Operations Manager 1 to join our Environmental Services team at the Sisters of Christian Charity in Mendham, New Jersey. Sisters of Christian Charity is a welcoming religious community with approximately 100 sisters who live together as a family. This position will oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations. Will report to the General Manager of MultiService and manage a staff of 10 employees. Typical shift is Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm with occasional weekends when needed.
Are you the experienced, caring Environmental Services/Housekeeping Manager we're seeking?
We are looking for a candidate who:
- have 3 or more years of previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience;
- possess prior laundry operations experience is a plus;
- have strong knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures;
- can develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of our client;
- have experience with scheduling, training, ordering and assignment of duties;
- can multi-task and set priorities;
- have the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion; and
- has experience improving customer satisfaction, and driving full compliance to local, state and federal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- oversees all housekeeping and laundry operations;
- provides direct handling of incoming calls, follow up and other administrative duties / tasks as needed;
- supporting payroll and HR functions of reviewing hourly employees within Kronos, hiring, counseling, training; and
- supports a diverse and inclusive workforce; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
