The main role/responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

What You'll Do
Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Account Manager/Site Supervisor and other senior technicians, inspects, repairs, maintains and calibrates a comprehensive range of clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. A BMET II possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a broad range of clinical inventory devices. Participates in and conducts on-the job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
- Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care
- Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutions
- Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints
- Prepare required documentation and reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service
- Demonstrate a safety mindset

What You Bring
The ideal candidate should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
- Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
- Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices- ESU's, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD's, Telemetry, EKG, IV Infusion Pumps, Patent Monitoring Systems, plus OR, and Ventilators (not all are required).

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
