Role Overview

Sodexo Live's! Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager, supporting our prestigious clients in the American Airlines Lounge Portfolio at Philadelphia International Airport in Philadelphia, PA. This is an onsite position at the airport. This position will be responsible for implementing, coordinating, and administration of HR related programs , policies, and procedures, including payroll, compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management, diversity and inclusion, training and development, recruitment, employee relations, international mobility, organizational change, and communication. We are looking for someone with great experience in employee relations, recruitment, and retention. Our ideal candidate will have an HR background with a recognized restaurant or hospitality company that has union employees. This position is a M-F position with some weekends depending on business needs.

What You'll Do

Key Duties:

  • Manage the full cycle of recruiting for Front-line Talent, including in person events.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding HR plans, programs & policies.
  • Union experience highly preferred.
  • Ahmeric language would be a plus!
  • Educate managers and employees on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and oversees all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding human resources.
  • Investigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate.
  • Involve those necessary based on incidents; HR People Center, legal, etc. If applicable, management of union employees; understanding of all contract rules/policies, and management of arbitration.
  • Provide direction to managers and employees on implementation of HR plans, programs, policies, and training.
  • Act as the primary consultant on various HR initiatives.
  • Serve as the HR consultant and work with operations to positively impact business.
  • Perform due diligence for new business initiatives to determine the appropriate HR plans, programs, process, and tools (including compensation, benefits, leadership, staffing, diversity & inclusion) based on financial and legal exposure.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have the following preferred background/skillset:

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources (or related field) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2-3 or more years of HR experience.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, external regulations, and laws.
• Employee relations experience of at least 2 years.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Strong influencing skills and proven success in establishing credibility with business leaders.
• Experience working effectively under pressure to drive deliverables in short time constraints.
• Experience in training and development and change management.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year of HR experience
