The mission of the Snowflake Streaming team is to empower customers to ingest, transform, and serve their data using real-time and near real-time pipelines within Snowflake. Guided by Snowflake's "no knobs" philosophy, we develop infrastructure that manages orchestration, performance, self-healing, security, and privacy so that customers can focus on their business logic. Leveraging our team's extensive background in building streaming systems, we create infrastructure that is simple to operate and adaptable to diverse business requirements. With the successful launch of products such as Snowpipe Streaming , Dynamic Tables , and Streams , our user base is rapidly expanding. We are growing our team to meet this increasing demand.

We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager for our Snowpipe Streaming team in Bellevue, Washington as we scale the team for the next phase of growth.

AS AN ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Set the strategic vision for your team and be accountable for team plans and deliverables
  • Drive team projects from idea formulation, through design and implementation collaborating with partner teams
  • Be able to shift resources across areas and projects to achieve execution goals and to respond to lessons from customer and production issues
  • Provide strong technical leadership to the team with a focus on quality, performance, and scale
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making
  • Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team by participating in all steps of the recruiting process from sourcing to closing
  • Be responsible for the career development of your reports, providing continuous mentorship and coaching

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • 10+ years hands-on software development experience, including experience working with large-scale cloud data platforms
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering impactful results.
  • Prior experience driving company initiatives and growth of the business in collaboration with product managers, marketing, sales, etc.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence to ensure reliable software delivery meeting high quality standards.
  • Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, leading and growing technical teams.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.

How do you want to make your impact?

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $243,000 - $379,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.


The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
