The Opportunity
Interos is a product-oriented company. We are building the world's first fully connected knowledge graph of commercial entities to understand global supply chain risk for our customers. We want to identify real-time risk across every company in our customers' ecosystems and beyond. The data to do this does not exist, so we are making it.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Team Management: Manage a team of 5 -10 full stack software engineers, inspiring the team to build high quality software in a fast paced environment.
- Hands On Technical Leadership: Lead code reviews, architecture design discussions, and drive development best practices across teams.
- Front End Best Practice Lead: Lead the design and engineering teams in best practices in building and improving the platform user experience
- Feature Delivery & Quality: Balance speed and quality by iterating quickly and making incremental improvements to features and systems.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Lead cross-functional initiatives and tackle complex technical challenges while aligning engineering efforts across our SaaS platform.
- Architecture & Scalability: Lead redesign efforts of the platform architecture, focusing on improving scalability, security, and streamlining release processes to ensure rapid delivery and high standards.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and guide teams, sharing your experience, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Data Systems & Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable, high-performance systems to manage vast amounts of data across multiple cloud environments and diverse data sources.
- Roadmap Development: Contribute to the roadmap prioritization by providing project estimates, feasibility reviews and tech debt initiative justifications.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent
- 12+ years of professional experience in full stack software engineering
- 5+ years leading technical teams
- Front End Experience (React, Typescripts, HTML/CSS)
- AWS (S3, RDS, ElastiCache, Lambdas)
- Database (SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL)
- Python (FastAPI, Pandas, PySpark, SQLAlchemy, Alembic)
- Testing (with focus on: Postman, PyTest)
- Security (with focus on: OWASP top 10, JWT, OAuth2)
Preferred:
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and detailed knowledge of object-oriented design and programming
- Observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, DataDog, MonteCarlo)
- Kubernetes (Deployments, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Autoscaling)
- Databricks (DBX, DBFS, Spark, Notebooks)
- Linux and Docker is a plus (development will be on Linux/Mac)
- Job schedulers (Prefect, Celery, Dask)
- Message brokers (Kafka)

- Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.
- Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
- Compensation range is base salary of $160,000 - $200,000. The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
