We’re looking for a Manager of Media Partnerships to join Snap. This person will have an exceptional understanding of the content landscape and trends, relationships with media companies and other content creators in the market combined with a strong vision of the strategy for media partners on Snapchat. We are looking for candidates with significant experience and relationships in the industry, strong partner management skills, and the ability to be both commercially and creatively minded.
What you’ll do:
The role will be responsible for Snap’s media partner relationships and content business in Australia
Develop relationships with media partners to best utilize the Snapchat platform and create value for partners, Snapchatters, and Snap
Develop and execute market operational plans in partnership with Content Strategy and other XFN partners
Develop and maintain a pipeline of partners to bring onto the platform using (a) Snap platform trends & “gap” analysis, (b) market and competitor trends and (c) third party services (e.g. Tubular). Media Partners should (i) drive engagement, (ii) serve the needs of our diverse audience, (iii) support sales efforts and (iv) ensure content coverage for tenpole moments, including both editorial and sales tentpoles
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for partners; identify and influence new partner opportunities with Snap products (e.g. Spotlight), engineering, and sales teams; manage partner relationships; troubleshoot partner issues; and make sure they have access to all the resources available to partners to improve performance.
Drive adoption of partner facing products, including new features and tooling
Monitor partner revenue and audience engagement with partnered content and report on progress against our operational plans
Work with Content Strategy to develop data backed insights to help partners retain and grow their audiences. Deliver market specific insights through one-on-one touchpoints and one-to-many events.
Serve as internal advocate within Snap for partners, including working with Sales and Product teams
Organize Media Partnerships events and facilitate partner participation in broader Snap events
Work closely with XFN teams to create opportunities around key events in market
Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics as they relate to media partners
Ensure partners are adhering to content guidelines and keeping Snapchat a safe environment
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
10+ years of relevant working experience in a partner-facing role such as partner or account management
Deep understanding of the media partner ecosystem and landscape in Australia
Demonstrated capacity to lead multiple projects with stakeholders across functions with success
Solid track record in stakeholder management with a focus on building C-level relationships with partners
Ready to wear multiple hats and thrive in ambiguity
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
Experience growing and leading a team
Relationships with the region’s top media corporations and production houses
