We’re looking for a Communications Intern to join Team Snap Los Angeles, CA. As a member of the Communications Team, you will work with both the Internal Communications Team and Media Team. As part of the Internal Communications Team, you will support and contribute to Snap’s Intranet site, create content, develop stories about our teams to share across the organization and assist in executing internal announcements. As part of the Media Team, you will monitor inbound editorial requests, research media contacts, create journalist briefings, track coverage and more.

What you’ll do:
Internal Communications
Support and contribute to Snap’s intranet site by creating, posting and proofing content
Work closely with various teams across the company to find compelling stories to tell
Use video as a medium to record and edit internal stories
Work closely with the 2022 Intern class to tell the company about the Snap Intern experience
Help manage and create content for various internal communications channels
Help publish stories to our internal Discover channel
Support the day-to-day activities of the Internal Comms team through collecting analytics, transcribing interviews, and other duties as assigned
Media
Monitor inbound editorial queries and advance them to the appropriate person; identify potential editorial opportunities and flag to the team; research media contacts to develop media contact lists; create journalist briefing sheets; build/localize stories and pitch to select media.
Track coverage in media and highlight to the product comms team as appropriate.
Ad hoc support and tasks, supporting on media briefings, seeding products to media, event support and organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
College junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in communications, or pursuing a degree in English or a related field with an interest in communications
Preferred Qualifications:
Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop experience
Filming and editing experience
