Role Overview:

Equinix is seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our organization as an HR & Communications Intern. This internship offers a unique hybrid opportunity to support our Org & Talent function, as well gain experience in various aspects of marketing and communications.

As an intern at Equinix, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various projects and initiatives including research, learning & development, change management, project & program management, internal communications, and external talent marketing & EVP strategies. This role requires both independent work and collaboration with the team to achieve our goals and initiatives related to programming and events. Responsibilities could include:

Org & Talent (50%):

  • Conduct research to support initiatives related to organizational design, talent development, and HR best practices.
  • Assist in planning and delivering learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
  • Contribute to transformation and change management efforts, including communication strategies and tools to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate on the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and programs aligned with HR and organizational goals. Provide data analysis and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of learning, development, and organizational initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between HR initiatives and broader business strategies.

Communications (50%):

  • Assist in planning, writing, and managing e-blasts, posts, and e-newsletters
  • Design event/program graphics, and other marketing materials
  • Help to enhance Equinix's social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling, and reporting
  • Provide input for creative marketing strategies and social media campaigns
  • Maintain editorial and event calendars
  • Create online marketing material, as needed
  • Collaborate with the team on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor's or master's degree studies (Graduation between December 2025-September 2026)
  • Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on your school system)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and proposes creative solutions
  • Interest in learning about and contributing to organizational design, change management, transformation, project & program management, and talent development initiatives
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of service quality and alignment with the organization's mission
  • Proficient in utilizing social media tools and platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Genuine enthusiasm for creating compelling marketing materials and internal resources
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and a creative mindset
  • Knowledge of HTML, website content management, and graphic design is a plus
  • Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing is a plus
