We're looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

• Sponsors quality processes and procedures throughout the entire product lifecycle, including inspections, code reviews, requirements analysis, code coverage, and quality improvements.
• Establish quality expectations for products, develop plans to measure these expectations, and ensure successful execution of the plan.
• Responsible for the predictability of project schedules and tracking progress against established goals and objectives.
• Assess the required quality level at various phases of the product lifecycle to ensure that the product performs effectively in the intended customer environment. Collaborate with customers, marketing, and Customer Support to understand needs and requirements.
• Maintain records of previous verification and validation efforts to ensure the reproducibility of results.
• Evaluate the product's technical capabilities, including usability, functionality, reliability, and serviceability.
• Test products for defects, limitations, and boundaries, considering all potential failure points.
• Collaborate and coordinate with global engineering and QA teams as needed.
• Review functional and design specifications along with other project documentation. Provide input on internal and external product and release documents to stakeholders such as KPD and third-party providers.
• Work closely with software development and release teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience in testing and test automation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, version control tools (CVS, Git), defect tracking systems (Jira), and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and TCL.
• Familiarity with the IC manufacturing process and IC layout design.
• Good understanding of Software Quality Assurance processes and software testing concepts is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate closely with product owners and R&D teams to understand software features and customer usage.
