Software Development Intern - Data Exchange Group

Data Exchange Components group is responsible for thedevelopment and enhancement of 3D Data Interoperability APIs, PLMXML Adaptersand 3D Translator products. The candidate will be taking on a wide range ofexciting tasks from Applications Engineering to Software Engineering,prototyping new algorithms and implementing real world, customer drivensolutions. If building CAD & 3D Visualization Interoperability componentsinterests you, we welcome you to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving forward our 3DInteroperability, Visualization and Inspection products

  • Producehigh caliber Requirements, Functional, Design and Test specification
  • UnderstandSoftware Architecture
  • Programin C++ as well as code review the work of peers
  • Advocatingand policing quality and process
The candidate will work within the team's SDLC processes to create high quality systems and processes, and they will collaborate other teams to achieve the best possible results
Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in a numerate subject (e.g.mathematics, sciences, engineering).
Skills:

  • Expertisein C++ and Visual Studio
  • Ex in Python
  • Expertisein object-oriented design (OOD)
  • Knowledge ofscripting language such as PERL
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • [Desirable] High level skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS

Software Programming & Design:

  • Strong foundation in Software Architecture. Ability to produce and interpret class diagrams, sequence diagrams and other design collateral
  • Strong grasp of multi-threading concepts.

Industry knowledge:

  • CAD / 3D geometry systems
  • Computer Graphics

Personal Skills:

  • Excellent communication - verbal andwritten, in English.
  • Team working.
  • Organisation and time management.
  • An energetic and proactive approach
  • Clear thinking and analytical problem-solvingskills

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
