Siemens DISW's Electronics, Semiconductor, Industrial Machinery, and Battery Business focuses on providing software solutions tailored to the specific needs of companies operating in the industrial, consumer electronics, and semiconductor industries. The technical sales and delivery organization within Siemens DISW's Electronics, Semiconductor, Industrial Machinery, and Battery business plays a crucial role in understanding customer needs, demonstrating the value of their software solutions, and assisting potential clients in making informed decisions about adopting Siemens DISW's products and services.

Position Overview

As part of the sales organization, and in support of our direct and indirect business, you will be focused on creating new business opportunities, covering all industries across the Americas with a special focus on our Cloud based solutions. You will work alongside the existing sales teams to bring qualified deals to closure. You will be part of the Portfolio Development Team reporting to the Director of the Americas for our Design, Simulation & Test solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop a Top Suspect list of accounts to engage with our Mechanical Design Solutions, ideally new logo accounts.
  • Discuss and align with the appropriate sales channel to agree on the list.
  • Engage the customer and execute our prescriptive sales process to move the customer through the buyer's journey.
  • Regular use of Salesforce to document progress and capture events related to the suspects.
  • Maintain a business forecast of current and future opportunities.
  • Attend monthly / quarterly sales meetings as needed.
  • Support the Country/Vertical industry events, trade shows or new product updates.
  • Provide product enablement to the direct and indirect teams.
  • Assist with existing opportunities when requested.
  • Learn and be able to present the Siemens Mechanical Design solutions overview.
  • Understand and be able to present the various solutions campaigns and the associated Digital threads.

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering required, unless the applicant has multiple years of experience selling CAD/CAE software.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a full-time position using or selling CAD/CAE solutions in any industry. If the applicant has not sold CAD/CAE software, they must have at least used it for multiple years, recently.
  • Some high level knowledge of the CAD/CAE marketplace and the competition.
  • Travel within the Americas as needed. Approximately 25% to 30%
  • Must currently reside in the continental USA Preferably Eastern USA). This is a firm requirement
  • NOTE: Applicants must not require employer sponsored work Visa authorization, now or in the future for employment in the USA. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the USA.

Preferred skills/experience

  • Experience running meetings with customers, both virtually and at the customers' premise, is preferred

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The total cash compensation range for this position is $142,800 to $285,600 with 30% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
