Join our team as "Intern C++ Software Engineer" in our office in Katowice, Poland.

You'll help our customers drive digital innovation by

Working independently and as part of group of Agile Scrum teams in the EU, US and worldwide, developing breakthrough Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, which is used by our customers to create a variety of amazing products, from smartphones to satellite systems. We believe in Agile development, so our engineering teams are expected to be self-sufficient and perform without the classical management structure. Furthermore, these teams foster a culture that allows everyone to express their views, be a contributor, and grow as a professional.

The Challenge:

You will receive an individual training plan to help develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of this great journey of being an intern, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in our varying projects. Some of those activities will include:

  • Your key role will be to develop new functionalities with proper quality and support existing product teams
  • Software development in C++
  • Taking part in testing, using Python
  • Participating in software design and code review session
  • Cooperating with whole scrum team to create valuable outcome
  • Learning and growing your skills with support of mentors on the team
  • Taking a role of the teammate: there will be more people like you
  • You will have time to learn and develop skills in global organization

What do you need to succeed?

  • Student of degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Electronics or other related field, able to commit 40h/week for this job
  • Conversational English
  • Eligibility to work legally in Poland without immigration support
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of the team
  • Attention to details and high-quality work
  • Some experience in software development - the rest you can learn with us!

How long will the internship last

  • 11 months with a possibility to be converted into a permanent position with Siemens
