Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Manager, Network Sustainment Engineering to work in a remote capacity.

Role Overview:

The Manager Network Sustainment Engineering will develop and manage a team of Network Sustainment Engineers who perform engineering, design, and implementation of Core and Distribution Network infrastructure and supporting software systems. This includes daily management/guidance for the Network Sustainment team, scheduling and coordination with Network Engineering (Transport, Packet, and Voice), Operations (Field and NOC), Network Planning/Architecture, Project Managers, and other various departments. Additional responsibilities are to develop/review/approve design changes, business cases, and other related business initiatives. The Manager Network Sustainment Engineering is a hands-on role and requires knowledge and understand of MPLS, BGP, G.8032, Segment Routing, Packet/OTN, CWDM, DWDM, SONET services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and/or management
  • Must have prior Telecommunications experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years in networking engineering, network operations, project management, and network support systems.
  • Previous management/supervisor experience. Knowledge of DWDM, Ethernet, SONET, Linux, and Element Management Systems.
  • Proficient with MS Office product suite, telecommunications inventory management systems.
