Role Overview: The V&V Architect plays a crucial role in upholding Schneider Electric's commitment to delivering exceptional quality and reliability to its customers. The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and maintaining testing standards and processes.
  • Designing and implementing efficient and effective testing strategies for Breakers & Connected products.
  • Providing technical leadership to the testing team.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Overseeing the implementation of automated testing solutions.
  • Ensuring testing efforts align with project goals and timelines.
  • Keeping abreast of new processes, practices, and technology advances to drive in-house adoption and enhance testing capabilities.
  • Working with the wider test community to proactively analyze current processes and practices and define improvements of test strategy, test frameworks, infrastructure, tools, and test coverage.
  • Taking charge of test infrastructure, collaborating with development team, and providing technical know-how, documentation, and training.
  • Demonstrating commitment to sharing ideas, technologies, and best practices.
  • Offering fresh, innovative ideas and/or unconventional approaches.
  • Mentoring Test Team members and participating in reviews to provide suggestions to improve the test plan and strategies.

Preferred Experience: The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following experience and qualifications:
  • Extensive background and experience in test planning, management, and execution.
  • Experience with agile development.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools, including keyword-driven, data-driven, BDD, and hybrid approaches.
  • Experience in a multi-stakeholder delivery model, with onshore-offshore delivery experience desired.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experince in Integration & Testing of Circuit Breaker and Relays
  • Knowledge of Low/Medium voltage, Breakers & connected products, and electrical system protection.
  • Exposure to Industrial Communication protocols like Modbus, CAN, or any substation automation protocols.
  • Proficiency in test automation and scripting (scripting languages such as Python, and/or automation tools such as Selenium, NI TestStand).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.


Qualifications

Qualifications: The preferred qualifications for this role include an M.Tech or Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or equivalent experience.
