About the Position

The Tax Business Analyst will work at the intersection of business & technology to define strategies that combine an understanding of business goals and challenges, with technology solutions. This involves leading through development, execution, value realization & ongoing product management. The ideal candidate needs to have a solid understanding of SAP ECC and/or S4 along with accounting knowledge to drive resolution with supporting teams.

What will I do on this role?

Strategy Definition: Build tax technology strategy & product roadmaps aligned with tax function strategy and IT key performance indicators for technology landscape.

Business Problem Definition: Understanding and translating business problems faced by the tax function into a business case & comprehensive set of solutions covering process, technology, data, governance & user experience.

  • Solution Design: Ensure product development efforts include automation to reduce run cost, adopt agile principles, end to end process optimizations, and compliance.
  • Product Management: Accountable for the lifecycle of tax applications, including selection, implementation, maintenance, and retirement. Ensure roadmaps are oriented to deliver finance, business & technology strategy, value creation objectives, and key performance indicators. Tenaciously solve problems and work cross functionally to identify root cause and resolution.
  • Internal & External Partnerships: Cultivate vendor relationships and ensure that our needs will be met by our technology partners. Build relationships with internal stakeholders, technology delivery teams and global counterparts to work collaboratively on solving problems. Manage interlocks and drive alignment cross functionality and with external partners.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the technology landscape including cybersecurity and data privacy.

Required qualifications:
  • 5+ years total experience in Business and or IT based roles supporting system implementations and development.
  • Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for system enhancements in an Agile environment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Agile principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively translate business requirements into detailed and accurate technical specifications, facilitating seamless collaboration with development teams and ensuring the delivery of solutions that meet business needs within an Agile framework
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication with ability to explain business needs in non-technical terms
  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Project management proficiency
  • IT Operations knowledge (ITIL)
  • Financial acumen
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4 is a plus
  • Fluent in English
