Supply Chain Planning Manager

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Manager in our Columbia, Missouri location! In this role, you will lead our Planning, Materials, and Logistics functions to develop reliable supply chain solutions that enhance productivity and reduce plant downtime. You'll take a data-driven approach to problem-solving using digital tools like Tableau, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and SAP.

What Will You Do?

  • Implement industrial policies and develop necessary skills within the team.
  • Manage people, including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being.
  • Oversee the team according to the Schneider Production System (SPS), support production supervisors with actions and escalations registered in the digital board (Digitized Idea and Short Internal Management System) and facilitate Short Internal Management meetings.
  • Manage Warehouse and Material Process Handling resources according to the Master Production Schedule and customer portfolio.
  • Drive performance and productivity of Warehouse and Material Process Handling resources.
  • Oversee logistics department costs.
  • Animate the Master Production Plan by analyzing needs and achievements and proposing necessary resources.
  • Pilot internal and external resources to meet customer needs regarding on-time delivery.
  • Lead and improve supplier performance in terms of service level, lead time, and lot size.
  • Enhance plant flow performance by applying SPS principles (waiting queues, material process handling, pull flow, warehousing efficiency, etc.).
  • Optimize inventories and coverage according to service levels and capital employed.
  • Manage range ramp-down/up and obsolescence.
  • Be accountable for key performance indicators (KPIs), including missing parts purchased, purchase order commitment, on-time delivery to customers and services, accuracy of second commitments, backorder lines, lead time to customers, unhealthy stock, and inventory days.
  • Facilitate weekly demand/capacity planning team meetings, providing direction and fostering collaboration among members (Production, Warehouse, Quality, Planners, Buyers).
  • Promote the use of digital platforms as a digital citizen.

Who will you report to? Plant Manager.

What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management expertise and APICS Certification are a plus.
  • Experience in various aspects of supply chain management, including Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Planning.
  • Strong purchasing skills (cost analysis, supplier management, market analysis, etc.).
  • Technical concepts in supply chain management (safety stock, capacity management, replenishment strategy, etc.).
  • Financial acumen and business knowledge in order entry, front office, and back office.
  • Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with 3 years of experience in planning (Material Requirements Planning), purchasing, logistics, and inventory management
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Kinaxis).
  • Customer-centric and results-oriented, with the ability to anticipate issues.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to influence and convince others (strategic thinker).
  • Ability to communicate, organize, and work effectively with top management, project managers, and sales account managers of key customers.
