Your Mission:
We currently are actively recruiting for a Tendering Engineer to be based in Lagos, Nigeria and support the Service teams. As a key part of the sales and business development function, the role works across various business teams to bring together compelling, customer-focused proposals and tender submissions to win business. As a Tendering Engineer, you will develop commercial capability, vital to businesses and valued across all our business sectors.

Your Role - Magic happens when you bring great people together!
• Match products to customer specifications and drawings by demonstrating knowledge of products.
• Review customer specifications/drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.
• Coordinate with Sales Representative to determine and/or clarify project requirements to ensure quality output.
• Understand, analyze, document, and communicate contractual, technical and commercial terms and conditions relative to the company standard.
• Maintain a current understanding of bid strategies and market conditions. Follows up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process and measure effectiveness.
• Incorporates use of technological capabilities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Assists outside sales representatives in the preparation of customer presentations related to the quote, including comments on exceptions and built-in value.
• May perform Bill of Material preparation for large, complex projects with the guidance of a Senior Bid & Proposal Executive or Manager.

Qualifications
• Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree.
• A minimum of 2 years work experience in sales or tendering.
• Ability to build a sustainable and reliable relationship with the customer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including C-level customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ERP/CRM related tools.
• Excellent organizational skills.
