For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $110,000 - $160,000 per year, which includes base pay, plus uncapped commission. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. About the Role

We are seeking a highly talented and passionate Senior Project Sourcing Lead - Clean Energy Investments to drive the growth of our Tax Credit Investment services, with a focus on strategic advisory in the clean energy and voluntary carbon markets space.

Our Clean Energy Investments team works with clients to scale their impact and accelerate the growth of clean electricity worldwide. As a subject matter expert, you will source new transferability tax credit opportunities in the energy transition space, advise clients on tax credit investment financial modeling and risk analysis, working directly with our most important clients to exceed expectations, and enhance our reputation in the market. You will also support various day-to-day activities within our Tax Credit Investment services, such as content creation, client and developer meeting preparation, program management, and internal team education.

This full-time position offers qualified candidates the option to work from our Boulder office or remotely from a home office within the U.S. Periodic travel for team meetings and training is required.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Project Sourcing for Tax Credit Investments
    • Identify and source eligible tax credits from the market, including but not limited to project developers, clean energy equipment manufacturers, infrastructure funds, syndicators, brokers, and platforms.
    • Develop and maintain a robust network of relationships across key sectors, ensuring access to a wide range of tax credit opportunities.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and strategically position Schneider Electric to acquire the most valuable tax credits.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to assess and validate sourced tax credits, ensuring alignment with company investment strategies and risk profiles.
  2. Diligence, Risk Analysis, and Underwriting
    • Review and analyze third-party and developer-supplied reports and financial models, identifying and addressing underwriting cash flow, accounting, and tax risks.
    • Prepare and review internal tax credit opportunity overview materials, including benefits schedules, and manage client matching process.
  3. Client Engagement and Consulting
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on tax credit investments, presenting financial insights and strategies to Fortune 500 clients and Schneider leadership.
    • Demonstrate executive presence, confidence, and consultative selling skills in collaboration with Business Development teams to effectively drive new business.
  4. Operational Excellence and Growth
    • Manage strategy and analytics to deliver project results, including scope, schedule, budget, and client engagement.
    • Support the design, standardization, and implementation of processes and materials to scale Tax Credit Investment services for clients.
    • Collaborate with Business Development and Client Management teams to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction throughout the engagement process.
    • Foster strong working relationships across various departments within the U.S. and globally, including Operations, Delivery, and other Schneider Cleantech teams.

This role could be right for you if you have:
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in clean energy development, investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting.
  • Significant experience with clean energy tax credit sourcing (ITC, PTC, and various investment structures) on the sell side, and a deep understanding of clean energy project economics.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling techniques and proforma financial statement analysis, specifically for tax credit investment projects.
  • Familiarity with transaction-based workstreams such as debt or tax credit financing, M&A, and other financial transactions.
  • A Master's Degree in Finance or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Strong skills in synthesizing data and complex concepts into clear recommendations and presentations.
  • High proficiency in project finance models used to underwrite debt or tax credit investments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax credit documentation (e.g., LLCAs, ECCAs, MIPAs) and customary investor reporting requirements.
  • A passion for learning new topics and a talent for creatively enhancing service offerings.
  • Strong commitment to customer service, company values, and delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects in diverse areas.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in the sales process for sustainability or clean energy services, particularly with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Persistence and proactive follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
