The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for understanding the technical requirements of the project.

He or she shall thoroughly understand the design documents, specifications, references, and project scope. The Senior Project Engineer's role includes coordinating and preparing all technical documentation to build a prefab solution according to customer requirements within time schedule and the defined quality. Strict attention to detail, understanding of time constraints, and implications of proper documentation all add up to an effective Senior Project Engineer.

As part of the engineering team the Senior Project Engineer will be working closely with Project Managers, Technical Leaders, Junior Project Engineers and Production Specialist (Factories), this position is responsible for the technical portion of projects at execution stages.

What will you do?

  • Thoroughly understand the design documents, specifications, references, and project scope.
  • Keep minutes for all regular and technical design meetings.
  • Identify, review, collect, verify and store all project technical documents as they are available during the project.
  • Maintain the general project files according internal procedures (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Sharepoint etc...)
  • Maintain the Engineering issues Log & Project Engineer Book. (Sharepoint folder)
  • Develop Approval drawings to meet customer scope (Submittal Package)
  • Perform change management for design documents and customer submittals
  • Track all technical design deviations and notify project/ design team for resolution.
  • Manage all engineering works schedule and assign tasks to designers and SME's. (specialists)
  • Develop major BOM (Bill of Material) for the project.
  • Coordinate internal periodic design reviews with designers and SME's (Execution phase)
  • Create and distribute submittal requests based on project requirements.
  • Maintain and track submittals and shop drawings
  • Maintain and track engineering hours budget.
  • Maintain current design documents with all addenda and redlines.
  • Perform QC during the integration phase to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Manage handover of all engineering documentation to Factory Production Specialists
  • Prepare all final documentation for the project including (as built drawings, certificates, O&M documents, Spare Part lists)
  • Secure all warranties and guarantees from subcontractors and vendors as defined in the design documents, specifications, and contract.
  • Ensure all changes to the design documents are redlined to manage the final as-built documents.


General duties include:

  1. Coaching Junior Project Engineers during large or complex projects while working together in a customer project
  2. Working with Technical Leaders or Project Managers to deliver technical information to customer on time.
  3. Working with Factory Production Specialist to resolve questions during the execution of the project
  4. Establishing, maintaining, conducting, and policing detailed procedures for the submittal review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc.
  5. Establishing and maintaining all Project Engineering files related to subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents.


About you

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Education


University Bachelor's degree in Engineering Programs (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering are preferred)

  • Experience

From 5 to 10 years working on Engineering for Construction or Engineering for Automotive Industry

Experience (not mandatory but very valuable)

Data Center critical infrastructure knowledge (Power, Cooling, Monitoring)

Building construction or industrial installations (Cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing)

The following skills apply to this position:

Coordinate for project documentation from electrical, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural discipline to meet customer requirements and production constraints.

Working with other team members, Technical Leaders, contractors/vendors and consultants to resolve technical issues and to ensure the quality and integrity of engineering design executions.

Optimizing designs in compliance with relevant regulatory codes, standards and best practices.

Proven skills in written and oral communication of technical information.

Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills with the ability to pay a high level of attention to detail.

Capacity to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

Functional knowledge using Microsoft Office suite, Autodesk REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud , AutoCAD 2D and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Experience working in REVIT (preferred)

Fluent in English
