Regional (NAM) Sustainability Procurement Leader

We are currently seeking a self-driven sustainable procurement expert with a passion for developing innovative solutions to join our sustainable procurement team. This role offers remote work within the United States along with occasional travel as required for business purposes.

What will you do?

  • Optimaze knowledge of Schneider Electric's sustainable procurement framework, including ESG topics such as climate change and human rights.
  • Develop suppliers on various sustainability initiatives and provide on-site support.
    • Carbon footprint calculation & reduction target.
    • Climate governance and change management.
    • Onsite assessment and benchmarking.
    • Energy audit and techno-commercial solution.
  • Lead the implementation of designated sustainability initiatives with suppliers, including onboarding, decarbonization support, and developing solutions for working conditions.
  • Engage and collaborate with suppliers, quantifying benefits and driving the Zero Carbon Project and Decent Work Program.
  • Optimize business processes, collaborating with other departments to enhance data integrity and system performance.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with 5+ years of experience in energy audits, certification as an energy auditor, and proficiency in ISO 50001 audits is higly preferred.
  • Extensive knoweldge in sustainability, Enviromental Social and Governance (ESG), decarbonization, procurement, supplier engagement, CO2e emission calculation and reduction.
  • Previously managed climate/energy/renewable programs.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, advanced digital skills, and the ability to work in a complex virtual organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, project management abilities, and proficiency in tools like Tableau, AI, ML, and RPAs.
  • Knowledge of GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SA 8000, and exposure to data sciences and advanced languages (Python).
