Based in Schneider Electric offices in Calgary, the Quotation Specialist will take care of turning qualified opportunities into winning quotations reflecting customer requirements.
the Quotation Specialist will prepare offer quotations, risk assessment and necessary approvals.
Will perform technical and commercial impact evaluation during negotiation stage to ensure successful closing of opportunities and transfer to execution.
While reporting to Project Tendering Team Leader, the Quotation Specialist will work closely with other Field Services teams to provide a delightful customer experience with Schneider's world-class services offers.
As a member of the Tendering Team of our fast-growing Field Services business, this role provides enriching exposure to Schneider's offers, new technologies, business, and dynamic cross-functional interaction, while being on a development path with our commitment to employee career growth and a culture of diversity and inclusion.

Main Responsibilities:
- Define quotation strategy of qualified opportunities with sales
- Review customer specifications and drawings, and collaborate with technical and commercial stakeholders to develop accurate, timely and winning quotations
- Capture costs, and identify and mitigate applicable risks as per tendering governance
- Formulate commercial and financial synthesis, and engage management in bid approval process
- Communicate internally and follow up to ensure quotations are submitted on time
- Assist sales in post-bid clarifications during negotiations and closing
- In successful bids, conduct the handover to execution team in collaboration with sales
- Prepare change order quotations with execution and sales inputs
Qualifications and Skills required:
- 4-year electrical or mechanical engineering degree or acceptable equivalent
- 5-8 years of electrical industry experience in any of the fields of Technical & Commercial tendering or engineering
- Experience in estimating and configuring Low Voltage Products and Systems & Medium Voltage Distribution and Grid Automation, is an asset (Circuit breakers, Relays, Meters, Switchgear, Switchboard, Motor Control Center...).
- Ability to manage multiple projects quotes at the same time.
- Ability to read the single Line diagrams and the Specification and assess the right products to quote.
- Passion to delight customers and sound understanding of commercial environment.
- Highly motivated team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Quick learner with problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organized work ethic
- Professional Engineer license will be a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Bilingual Profile (French & English) is an asset.
