Senior Quotation Specialist

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Senior Quotation Specialist on our newly formed Digital Power Systems team in the Central Division. This position combines the skillsets of the Digital Power and Power Systems teams within Schneider Electric, merging our areas of expertise within the metering and power systems delivery spaces.

This position is accountable for preparation of quotations for product/project orders while driving a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be able work alongside sales to analyze the needs of the customer, and deliver a consultative solution based on the customer's application requirements and communicate effectively with engineering for a smooth transition from sales to project execution.

Location: Nashville, TN- hybrid schedule

What will you do?
  • A Quotation Specialist will utilize technical knowledge to prepare quotation packages based on the product content and technical knowledge.
  • You will assess project drawings and specifications, as well as direction from clients and sales to deliver comprehensive solutions to RFQs (Requests for Quotations).
  • You will Interpret customer requirements and match products to customer specifications/drawings.
  • You will collaborate with the Sales Engineers to ensure the quote is technically compatible, competitive, and clarify that all requirements of the project are met.
  • You will work with a team to understand the Sales Engineers strategy for the quotation opportunity to ensure quality output.
  • You will work directly with sales and clients to design and go to market with consultative solutions that meet the needs of the client.
  • You will learn to understand and analyze documents and communicates contractual, technical, and commercial terms and has a working understanding of bid strategies and market conditions.
  • You will join a team that is committed to growing together in a smart-trust environment where we can all thrive and improve.
  • This individual will hand-off a quotation package with comments on exceptions and built-in value for use by the Sales Engineer in customer presentation. While continuing to collaborate during the process as needed to ensure proper order conversion.
  • Embrace and fully utilize new tools and technology to improve efficiency.

  • Quotations Central Leader, Digital Power Systems

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or 5-10 years industry experience.
  • You have quotation experience in the Electrical Industry.
  • You are Knowledgeable on the following products: Medium Voltage Equipment including: MetalClad Switchgear, Metal Enclosed Switchgear and Power Transformers. Low Voltage Equipment including: Low Voltage Draw-out Switchgear, Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, Pad Mount Transformers, Dry Type Transformers, simple Drives. Digital Metering Equipment such as meters, current transformers, communications, controls, backup power systems, and generation. NEC equipment standards and local Codes. Competitor products.
