The 3Phase business as part of Data Center Systems LOB is facing a significant and sustainable growth. The DCS team is expanding in India to meet the business growth demand and has established a state-of-the-art high power 3Phase R&D lab in Bangalore.

We are looking for a Product Design Lead in Electrical as an expertise with leadership skills in our 3 Phase R&D who is passionate to lead from front and provide the technical design engineering in 3 Phase Power Distribution Product, Switch Gears Product and Sound Knowledge on

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for R&D backlog closure related electrical design and new product development.

• Provide high level of engineering support for 3 phase PDU products, Dry type Transformer.

• Lead all the technical related queries and providing the resolutions.

• Project technical leader, leading 5-6 team members.

• Designing transformers: Designing transformer cores and windings, and custom magnetics

• Design specialty power transformers and related magnetic components between 20kVA to 1500 kVA. Perform overall transformer design calculations and detailed coil and insulation design. Perform cooling calculations and select cooling components and other major components and accessories as needed.

• Meeting specifications: Ensuring designs meet customer specifications, as well as standards from organizations like the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

• Resolving technical problems: Participating in the resolution of technical problems, and proposing improvements to products, processes, and tools. Can trouble shoot as well as aid customers with design requirements and applications.

• Preparing documentation: Preparing engineering deliverables, manufacturing documentation, and drawings

• Coordinating: Coordinating between the electrical team and other departments

• Providing technical advice: Working directly with customers as a technical advisor to help with sales and Product Owner

• Prepare/Review/Approve Design Drawings as project deliverables.

• Preparing estimates: Developing accurate estimates that align with the company's marketing and profit strategies.

• Provide technical support as needed to the Squad on the 3Ph products. Provide test plan and procedures in in advance. Review final test data to evaluate the designs..

• Design: Creating design premises and methodologies, and performing electrical design reviews

• Technical reference: Serving as a technical reference for designers and specialists, and ensuring they participate in interdisciplinary activities.

• Coordination: Coordinating the evaluation of design changes and verifying that approved changes are implemented

• Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation, including technical assessment reports and design documents.

• Safety: Identifying potential safety code violations and implementing revisions

Required Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant R&D experience in electrical engineering along with design experience in dry-type transformers, including High-current bus bar, regulating and multi-tap transformers. Winding construction and insulation system designs.

• Project technical leadership experience providing technical mentorship to R&D engineers.

• A strong foundation and experience in electrical engineering is essential including single line diagram design of high-power systems.

• Working experience in Busbar design & Calculation, Selection of Switch Gears, Selection of Power, and Control Cables according to global engineering codes and standards

• Design/ selection of circuit breakers, current transformers (CT) branches, power distribution section, bus bars, cables, protection devices, grounding scheme, electrical panels, power distribution products, transfer switches, power monitoring solutions, UPS batteries etc.

• Experience working with high power (A few hundred of kilowatts to megawatt range) systems.

• Strong Knowledge in Electrical AutoCAD and able to create GA, SLD and Submittal Drawings

• Strong knowledge in engineering design deliverables DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, FTA, CQCS

• Understanding customer requirement & specify for the product adaptation requirements. Suggesting a technically ideal and commercially viable solution to the customer / consultant (end to end solution) with available product basket.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Stakeholder management; must lead from front.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to UPS systems, PDU and data center applications.

• Understanding of the power and control architectures of 3 Phase PDU/PMM products is a plus.

• Demonstrated project leadership qualities
