Product Application Engineer for KNX-based solutions

As a Product Application Engineer specializing in KNX-based solutions at Schneider Electric Romania, you will be the go-to expert for KNX technology within our organization. You will provide comprehensive guidance, training, and support to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the successful implementation and integration of KNX products. Your role will involve advanced technical support, collaboration with design firms, and the development of tailored technical solutions. You will also work closely with our sales, marketing, and technical teams to drive product success and customer satisfaction.

What will you do?

  • Act as a subject matter expert on KNX technology, providing comprehensive guidance, training, and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver advanced technical support to customers (end-users and partners), including software configuration and programming consultancy.
  • Offer technical support to design firms for integrating KNX products into low voltage diagrams and lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners and the internal sales team to prepare technical offers.
  • Develop and promote specific technical solutions for targeted segments with tested and validated architectures.
  • Work with L2 technical teams for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Track projects in the Salesforce platform and participate in pipeline review meetings.
  • Partner with the marketing department for product launches, events, website content, and demo products.
  • Conduct technical presentations and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, participating in customer meetings, demonstrations, and training sessions.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
    Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in configuring, designing, and implementing KNX-based solutions for building automation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for KNX system design and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, protocols, and standards related to building automation.
  • Initiative-taking with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking, detail-oriented, and well-organized, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Valid B category driving license.
