For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $156,000 - $234,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Description

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Solution Architect within the Power System Business Transformation team. The Solution Architect is a critical role, responsible for understanding the particular segment & customers Energy & Power System needs, bringing forward architectures with electrical distribution and digital solutions. The role will focus on Key segments like eMobility (Battery/EV plant, Fleet Charging Infrastructure) and Power and Grid with the flexibility to adapt as the New Energy Landscape market progresses.

The Solution Architect has technical responsibilities, interfacing with customers and different Schneider Electric teams to:
  • Bring together the most optimized solution to meet customer needs via current and future technology & products.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement in our product and technology portfolio.
  • Drive thought leadership.


What will you do?

  • Understand the segment specific customer applications, processes, requirements and constraints to develop and propose the best solution.
  • Lead the technical part of commercial roadmap and action plan (such as architectures/systems/features qualification, prescription, specifications drafting) for the specific segment/customer.
  • Perform technical influencing and specifying activities at early stages of business development & opportunity identification.
  • Can present and defend technical solutions. Develop required technical and commercial argumentation documents. Provide answers to complex technical questions from customers in co-operation with technical experts of different Business Units.
  • Lead thought leadership & education internally & externally via white papers, presentation, etc
  • Simplify technically complex topics to drive educated decisions across opportunities, products, and execution.
  • Cross collaborates with strategy and various offer marketing team to provide feedback, identify opportunities for product needs by segments & application.
  • Collaborate with quotation, tendering, product engineering function to create competitive advantage and successfully execute segment/application needs.
  • Review Request for Proposal (RFP) providing the commercial team with clear technical synthesis of Power System Power Train competitive advantages and proposed technical deviations. Provide technical advice to sales and capture team, propose competitive solutions and clarifications.
  • Provide technical support in execution phase for set customer & projects as necessary and drive closed loop learning for future opportunities.


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 10 years+ of technical experience
  • A strong focus on the customer ; you understand and anticipate customers technical needs, applications, architectures, and values
  • Effective communication and listening skills ; you can communicate effectively complex technical topics by listening and sharing information with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Organizational and Project Management Skills ; you plan and organize your work in support of achieving individual, team and organization goals and consider potential changes and propose contingency plans with effective management of time and resources
  • Excellent Collaboration Skills ; you can work co-operatively and make valued contributions. You exchange ideas and information with groups as well as individuals that have shared interests to build long-term relationships for mutual benefit and build passion and engagement towards a common goal
  • Demonstrated a Change and Agility mindset ; you keep abreast of changes, stay informed and know when to take advantage of opportunities.
  • Creative Thinking ; you innovate, generate and promote new ideas within the team, challenge status quo, disrupt. You take the initiative and start-up.
  • Experience interpreting customer specification, electrical drawing packages and power system architectures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and awareness of power system studies software
  • Ability to travel +25%
