We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Professional with extensive planning experience to join our team. This role focuses on setting Canada Distribution capacity requirements, governing DC inventory, and optimizing transport flows between suppliers, distribution centers, and customers within a specific logistics territory.
What will you do?
- Translate forecast into storage unit requirements to establish Distribution Center capacity.
- Ensure logistics capacity for transporting, receiving, and storing make-to-stock materials.
- Oversee and support inbound scheduling and yard management for timely processing.
- Collaborate with master data leads to maintain accurate logistics master data within ERPs, WMS, and TMS.
- Manage special flows and expedite orders, such as back-ordered materials.
- Govern inventory processes to ensure compliance and synchronization between systems.
- Provide visibility on revenue and volume forecasts per logistics territory.
- Co-lead the monthly Demand/Capacity cycle at the logistics territory level.
- Represent the logistics scope in the interlock monthly cycle.
- Monitor and plan logistics for upstream supply while managing inventory levels.
- With network modeling and transportation teams optimize routes for increased efficiency.
- Analyze forecast data and consumption to prepare flexible capacity for variations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, turnover, and potential stockouts.
- Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and execution.
- Foster local DC inventory teams and build strong logistics competencies, encouraging innovation and agile problem-solving.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Familiarity with Distribution Center digitalization, automation, and analytics
- Proficient in handling challenging employee/vendor/customer situations
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Proven ability to work in a team environment between the functions of Operations, Customer Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, and interact regularly with senior management regarding goals and accomplishments
- A self-motivated and influential change agent with experience leading continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as attention to detail
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive team leader who welcomes challenges
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Minimum 5 years of Inventory Management, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Vendor Forecasting, or Business Management
- Inventory Planning
- S&OP or SiOP (Sales and Inventory Operational Planning)
- ERP experience (WMS/TMS Information Systems)
- Transportation planning exposure and experience
