We are looking for Business development in South Korea, who can work closely with local Marketing, Sales, engineering and play the role to connect between the country and HMI business to input customer needs to offer creation team.

HMI is part of Digital Factory organization, composed of 6 activities such as Eilwell, Motion Control, Automation Control, HMI, IIoT Solution Software and Process control systems, contribute to provide the solutions and innovation for plant and machine in Industry Automation.

As a pioneer in HMI(Human Machine Interface), our brand offers a wide range of product line-ups globally, small-sized operation panel convenient for setting up equipment and machines and high-performance models with integrated PLC functions and gateway functions for IT. We also produce IPC(Industrial Personal Computer) that can handle edge functions such as higher expressive power and data analysis. Our products contribute to a variety of fields such as factory and equipment control in consumer-packaged goods, semicon, automotive, EV batteries, life science industries.

Main Objectives
  • Perform as Business development in South Korea.
  • Work closely with local Marketing, Sales, Engineering team in South Korea, and other stakeholders in HMI Line of Business (LoB) and Global commercial organization.
  • Discover needs in target segment (e.g. Semi-con, EV Battery, Automotive, FPD etc.) and work together with stakeholders to answer it.
  • Build growth strategy and execute it with local team and HMI Line of Business (LoB).
  • Capture local competitors information (e.g. M2i) and feed it to stakeholders to develop solution and offer.
  • Create fighting plan vs local competitors in term of attack plan, pricing position and feature.


Job Description
  • Perform as Business development in South Korea.
  • Belong to Sales Enablement in HMI activity, but based in South Korea and work closely with local Marketing, Sales, engineering team.
  • Build good relationship with End-User & OEM in target segment (e.g. Semi-con, EV Battery, Automotive, FPD etc.) in South Korea and discover their needs.
  • Work together with stakeholders, such as Local team in South Korea, HMI Marketing, Marcom, Technical product champion, Engineering Service and ICO to answer those needs.
  • Discover new segment and diffused OEM.
  • Build growth strategy and execute it with local team and other stakeholders.
  • Share success case, application, best practice from other countries to local team.
  • Capture local competitors information (e.g. M2i) and feed it to stakeholders to develop solution and offer.
  • Create fighting plan vs local competitors.
  • In the future, may expand the scope to outside of South Korea.

Qualifications

Essential (Must have)

  • Oral and written communication and presentation skills in Korean and English.
  • Able to travel to overseas. (e.g. Japan because most of team member is in Osaka)
  • Experience in Marketing or Sales or Engineering in Industrial Automation.
  • Strong ability to work effectively across team members, departments, cultures, and geographies.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to coordinate, prioritize and get results.
  • Ability to foresee and communicate potential problems proactively.


Desirable (Nice to have)

  • Oral and written communication and presentation skills in Japanese.
  • Experience in HMI.
  • Strong experience in key target segments; Semi-con, FPD, EV battery, Automotive.
