Schneider Electric Slovakia is opening a great opportunity for a certified H&S and Facility manager!

What will be your responsibilities?

Health, safety and fire protection:

  • Duties & activities in line with Slovak Health, safety, fire protection and workspace legislation and SE corporate policies.
  • Proactively support the Top Management in all H&S subjects .
  • Monitor safety performance nad share with the management team.
  • Play an active role in motivation and familiarization of all company personnel respecting the importance of complying with company standards and all safety equipment provided.
  • Support all company departments in their dealings with clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
  • Conducts safety audits both internal and external; performs Risk Assessment.
  • Takes part in accident / incident investigation & carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
  • Technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
  • Ensure that safety training plan for the team is in place and executed
  • Propose an annual improvement program taking account of the corporate requirements, accident history, legislative requirements and present plan for review and approval to the management committee.
  • Safety legal compliance tracking, ensuring actions if needed.
  • Safety walks, internal safety audits of all locations, take part in audits at customer sites for project activities, support actions if needed
  • Implement Safety & Environmental topics at management meetings and meetings with employees, deploy global quarterly safety campaigns, manage safety alerts (for all Front Scope Employees).
  • Handling with the corporate tools and programs related to EHS
  • Play an active role in the SERE (Safety, Environment and Real Estate) community in Europe. - Join community meeting and calls
  • Assuring that all legal entities / SE organization in Slovak territory are fully and coherently comply with the legal and corporate requirements, in case of non compliance detected immediately notify to country president and top managment all the issues & proposed corrective actions

Facility management:
  • Organize and manage the facility function within territory with a compliance to local regulation and SE corporate policies
  • Supervise, manage and coordinate the full scope of the Facility function (car services, facility services, catering, security, energy management
  • Manage real estate portfolio and its associated projects
  • Manage and optimize facility management costs
  • Makes sure the regulation evolution, evaluate the compliance of the site and propose related action plans.
  • Alert and support in case of emergency (breakdown...)
  • Analyze and optimize facility management and car services cost and propose targets and action plans
  • Follow up and support regulatory audit linked to facility management (fire preventions, lift..)
  • Ensure coordination with external suppliers and internal teams
  • Site security management

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bc. or Ms. degree in technical field, focus on health and safety
  • Min. 5 years of experience in H&S and facility management in an international company, preferably energy or technological business,
  • Health & Safety certificate required
  • Fluent English (Strong communicative skills of English used for work - reading, writing & speaking) and Slovak language
  • MS Office
  • Very good knowledge of local legislation in area of H&S and fire protection standards in Slovak Republic
  • Accessiblity for travelling (Slovak territory, approx. 2 times / month), ocassionaly international - for audit/inspection/meetings purposes, driving lincense B
  • High level communication skills
  • Proactive approach with ability to collaborate with corporate stakeholders
  • Self-work organization on daily basis
  • Ability for work in a dynamic, matrix subordinate environment with non-routine projects
