Facility Engineer

The Facility Engineer provides project management at the plant/facility whereby he/she directs, coordinates, and controls the activities of subcontractors as well as facility personnel assigned to various projects. Modify, change or add equipment for a system. Take it from request to look at to fit the system and budget and what it would take to do it.  

  • Assists plant GM with capital projects  for the facility and help manage budget costs for such projects. 
  • Provides engineering support to plant maintenance department on an as needed  
  • Coordinates the project activities at the plant level with all involved departments such as operation, management, maintenance, compliance and Health and Safety.
  • Attends all plant management meetings and provides engineering assistance for maintenance and other projects to assure proper and timely repairs, modifications and improvements to equipment and systems. 
  • Maintains complete documentation and updated facility drawings on file at the facility as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related fields preferred. 
  • 4 + years of Project Management experience outside of education preferred. 
  • General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines. 
  • Working knowledge of ACAD 
  • Excel and Microsoft projects. – MS Office 
  • Team player 
  • Communication Understanding of all equipment used at the site, including process instrumentation, piping, valves, pumps, material of construction, coating systems, fire detection and controls, material handling and building/structure maintenance, electrical system/electrics 
  • Requires color determination. 
  • Requires standing, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching, speaking, listening, tasting or smelling and lift up to 50lbs. 
  • Experience dealing with contractors
