We are looking for an experienced Electrical/Electronic HW Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Seville, Spain.
You will participate in the development of RTU (Remote Terminal Units) concretely in the T300 platform.
You will join a dynamic and agile team, where we work passionately with product development and maintenance/sustaining end to end activities.

Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the resolution of electrical and electronics component issues during the development or product life cycle phases.
- Do specification, qualification, including laboratory preparation, testing, and reporting.
- Build engineering hardware prototypes.
- Review and ensure the quality of electronics hardware design.
- Liaise with internal factories assembly engineers to optimize the layout for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide support for the hardware and manage component (both electrical and electronics) obsolescence throughout the lifecycle
- Perform engineering test and troubleshooting.
- Lead or active participate in design reviews, ensure hardware design with standard compliance, and write design specifications
- Perform hardware simulations and modelling.
- Specify and qualify new or alternative electrical components (fuses, switches, overvoltage protective devices, power cables) or electronics components (capacitors, resistors, semiconductors, integrated circuits).
- Investigate, and propose solutions for field quality issues with focus on electronics for existing offers.
- Interface with firmware, mechanical and industrialization teams.
- Engineering documentation creation: Bill of materials, schematic, drawings, design documents, supporting calculations, deliverables
- Contribute to new and innovative ideas to rapidly evolving business development activities.
- Support or active participate in FMEA, FTA and product mission profile creation.
- Monitoring and reporting of progress of development during Scrum daily meetings and participation in the Agile ceremonies
Your experience, education, and qualifications
First, you have good and thorough experience in product development, and preferably also in Agile methodology.
You have a bachelor's degree of Science in Electronics Engineering, and you are fluent in English.
You must have experience in:
- Electrical and analog electronics design.
- Schematic Capture, Cadence Suite, HDL, Allegro
- Simulations PSPIC, LTSPICE
- Power electronics design at least in relation to high frequency power supply and its components (inductors, high frequency transformers etc.) design/specification
- Electronics hands-on and troubleshooting
- Functional thermal verification, EMI/EMC
- Electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
- Electrical components (fuses, Surge protective devices, etc).
- Engineering documentation & design: Components selection, Bill of material, schematic, drawings, calculation, test plan, ...
- Collaboration with another teams, firmware, mechanical, industrialization, quality, purchasing, ...
If you also have experience in some of these areas, it will be an advantage:
- Design for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
- Test for EMC/EMI
- Cadence HDL Capture & PCB Editor
- Power management and thermal management
- Scrum, SAFE
