This Mechanical engineer will work in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing Schneider Electric energy management products like Controllers, PTE, PoE to USB-C and WAP etc.

T he job responsibilities include :

• Lead, create, review of parametric models and drawings of electro-mechanical equipment, according to design intent and Schneider Electric best practices.

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all engineering documentation such as bill of material (BOM), specification documents etc. in symphony/PDM

• Perform analysis (tolerance, structural and/or thermal) to insure the adequate performance, quality, and reliability of the product/design.

• Lead and/or support project team for "Prototype development" (Supplier follow-up, PR, PO, Invoice, and quality follow up etc.)

• Develop and/or collaborates in the definition of verification and validation process according to the country regulatory and standards.

• Collaboration with Cross functional team such as Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Marketing team to complete projects on time.

• Able to prepare resource budgeting (for the work assigned), quality documentation, and safety related documents to support the manufacturing team.

• Lead and support Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.

• Experience in understanding/applying for IEC and UL standards.

• Lead PCR/PCE related to different plants (located in France, Denmark, Riga, China & India)

Qualifications

• Must have 8 or more years of experience in design and development of electro-mechanical products.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

• Proficient in the use of all mechanical Schneider software suites (Creo8, TM, PDM, symphony ...) including ISO8015 and GD&T.

• Knowledge on simulation tools (ProMechanica, PlaticAdvisor, Ansys ...) is a plus.

• Candidate should be a team player with the ability to multi-task & self-prioritize.

• Candidate should be able to work in a multi-cultural team (based in India, China and France)

• Knowledge on Wiring Device products is an added value.

• Outstanding problem-solving skills and individual decision maker.

Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of the latest technologies and development trends in the power and metering field.

• Knowledge on manufacturing (DFM).

• In novative mindset with experience in creating new products or improving existing ones .

Results oriented, customer focused, willingness to learn and collaborate.
