For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $180,000 - $270,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Title: Federal Account Executive - East Region
As a Federal Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing a comprehensive business strategy targeting federal agencies and key stakeholders within the East Region. You will lead and coordinate a team of Enterprise Sales Engineers and Inside Account Managers associated with assigned accounts to successfully grow the sales of Schneider Electric products, services, and solutions, with a strong emphasis on solutions selling. You will serve as the primary point of contact for Schneider Electric businesses, ensuring strategic growth, a cohesive approach, and strong C-level credibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and implement an annual Strategy-to-Action Account Plan tailored to meet the needs of federal customers, transforming this strategy into a comprehensive value proposal that identifies business opportunities in the federal sector.
- Develop a deep understanding of the federal landscape, particularly the demands and expectations of various agencies and their stakeholders.
- Communicate the account plan strategy, including a localized action plan for the sales team connected to your account, while identifying and implementing best practices across the team.
- Drive growth for Schneider Electric through active management of federal investment opportunities and partnerships throughout the East Region.
- Enhance customer engagement by building a network at all levels within federal organizations, including C-level executives, and aligning solutions with their organizational objectives.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of Schneider Electric's various lines of business, departments, and geographic sales teams.
- Ensure regional customer satisfaction through timely resolution of major customer issues, process improvements, product enhancements, and sustainability commitments.

This job might be for you if:
- Extensive Federal Sales Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of significant sales experience within the federal government sector, with a deep understanding of strategic account management, federal customers, sales channels, and third-party relationships. Proven track record of driving business growth within defense and federal agencies.
- Account Management Expertise: Proven experience in consultative selling and developing relationships at senior levels within government organizations, focusing on managing complex high-value sales strategies and multiple transactions involving federal contracts.
- Executive Engagement: Successful track record of influencing executives within federal agencies, including VP and C-level interactions, with the ability to present as a thought leader to key stakeholders and large groups in governmental settings.
- Relationship Building Skills: Excellent networking abilities, strong capacity to establish relationships quickly across federal customer organizations, fostering collaboration within and across different agencies and departments.
- Collaborative Partnership: Ability to work closely with divisions and lines of business (LOBs) within Schneider Electric to align strategies, share insights, and ensure comprehensive solutions for federal clients.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate federal client needs, challenge clients on solutions, and negotiate effectively in multicultural and matrix environments.
- Strategic Federal Networking: Proficiency in leveraging social networking and strategic alliances to cultivate and sustain relationships within federal agencies, including experience collaborating with government partners.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) to effectively manage and drive a mixed portfolio of federal contracts and business opportunities.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to travel 30-50% of the time to meet with federal clients and attend relevant government events and conferences.
- Educational Background: A 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, preferably with a focus on federal government operations and procurement processes.
