Job description: Design for Safety and Reliability (DfSR) Practitioner

Mission

The position is responsible to lead in a cross functional team environment the Schneider Electric Design Reliability and Robustness methodology. Schneider Electric is a global company where you will collaborate and develop products across different lines of business and different regional teams globally. The value delivered by this leadership role is to create robust and reliable products ready to meet our customers' needs in a defined mission profile.

Main responsibilities

1) Build the adoption of the key stakeholders on DfSR methods

2) Lead analysis and represent the design robustness and reliability with their squads inputs

o Assess and identify the critical elements of the offer at design level (system, subsystem, assembly, component))

o Put together the key drivers of a logical DfSR risk assessment plan based on the risk level for the offer from safety, robustness and reliability perspective

o Develop, execute, and report DfSR plan on a regular basis

3) Train and coach design engineering community with DfSR trainings, methods and tools to reach Robustness and Reliability targets

Qualifications and experiences

• Education: 4 years Bachelor degree or 5 years Post Graduate degree / Master in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics of Firmware Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Higher degrees especially in Reliability engineering is preferred

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or quality field; Experience in Design for reliability (DfSS, DfSR), power management, electronics, electromechanical system is highly preferred

• Certified DFSS Black Belt internally at a leading company is preferred

• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is preferred or internally certified Reliability expert.

• Experience with p-diagram driven DFMEA development

• Advanced working level experience with Reliasoft and Minitab

• Experience working in Agile Product Development environment

• Customer oriented mindset, including Customer application knowledge

• Intercultural skills and experience

• Ability to mobilize and build cross-functional activities

• Coaching skills is a plus
