This role will report to the CS&Q VP of the division and dotted line to Global Design Reliability and Assurance VP.

80% Strategical activities / 20 % Tactical activities

Mission

The position is responsible for developing and deploying Design Reliability and Robustness processes, tools,
software across their division to ensure that Schneider Electric products and solutions are designed to be safe, robust
and reliable.

Main responsibilities:

1) Deploy corporate DfSR strategy in their division
2) Ensure there is a compliance to corporate standard work for DfSR standards/procedures globally and
standards are adhered to by the product lines of businesses and by the Hubs to deliver the expected benefit to

Customers and business bottom line
3) Manage all the Design for Safety and Reliability Practitioners
4) Impulse close collaboration with the product lines of businesses and with the Hubs' quality leads to address
their DfSR needs, challenges, opportunities
5) Coach and develop the teams to ensure that the organization is highly motivated, competent and lives the
quality and improvement culture as a top priority
6) Manage Corporate Reliability Certification Program for their division
7) Deploy DfSR/Robustness maturity Model across line of businesses and Hubs to continuously improve Design
for Safety and Reliability and Robustness processes, tools, software and trainings
8) Participate in major field reliability issues as a reliability expert to bring issues to a successful closure

Qualifications and experiences

• Worked as a Reliability expert, Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) certified expert in R&D environment for at least 10
years
• Experience in power management, electronics, electromechanical system is highly preferred
• Customer oriented mindset, including Customer application knowledge
• Master Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma is mandatory
• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) at minimum
• Education: 5 years Post Graduate degree in Electrical, mechanical or in industrial engineering. Higher degrees
especially in Reliability engineering is preferred.
• Great coach/mentor, trainer in DfSS and DfSR
• Excellence in managing both strategy and executions, leading and facilitating DfSS and DfSR activities with
R&D community
• Excellent Change management and influencing skills
• Strong Leadership and decision-making skills
