For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $211,000 - $316,000 per year, which includes base pay and Sales Incentive Plan (SIP).

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The DERMS Business Development Leader will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and adoption of the Schneider Electric Enterprise Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) solution, which consists of the EcoStruxure DERMS Grid DERMS solution and the Uplight Flex Aggregator DERMS solution, with the goal of reaching 30mUSD of ARR by 2028.

The DERMS Business Development Leader will be responsible for leading the growth of DERMS sales in North America. Initially this will take the form of identifying and leading sales pursuits for short-term, sole sourced opportunities, with a view of building a reference base and showing positive gains. In the medium-long term, this role will evolve into a position of identifying strategic accounts, identifying and tracking key stakeholders who are key to our success, coaching and guiding the regional account executives in their opportunity pursuit and working with the rest of the Digital Grid team (marketing, product, MARCOM, etc) in ensuring the SE DERMS solution is positioned well with the right messaging to support long term market growth.

A s part of this role, the DERMS Business Development Leader will need to coordinate with the regional account executives for account engagement and with the Digital Grid NAM sales solution architect team for technical prescription.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pipeline Generation and Opportunity Wins . In the short-term the priority focus will be to develop a pipeline of single-source opportunities and convert to wins. This can include Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and/or "Phase 0" opportunities. As part of this exercise, the DERMS Business Development Leader should sell the value of a Stepwise-Journey approach to an enterprise DERMS, but ultimately not be limited to whether the starting point is a Grid DERMS or an Aggregator DERMS solution.
  • Business Strategy . Develop and implement an effective business strategy that will enable SE to reach its medium-term and long-term business ambition of generating 30mUSD of DERMS related ARR by 2028. Seek buy-in from the other Digital Grid business units to support this activity.
  • Partner Engagement . Working with the partner team, define and implement a partner engagement plan to help educate consultants, advisors, System Integrators on the Digital Grid DERMS platform, with a view to ultimately supporting sales generate pipeline.
  • Industry Engagement. Represent SE at Industry conferences, seminars and networking events to enhance SE's visibility and thought leadership in the DERMS space. As part of this activity, the DERMS Business Development Leader should also look to garner utility executive engagement, with a view to ultimately supporting DERMS growth.
  • Performance Tracking. Monitor and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations to the Digital Grid Senior Leadership team to identify and remove potential roadblocks and garner support from the relevant business units to ensure success of the business strategy.
  • Leadership : skills working and coordinating complex team structures
  • Market Knowledge : Deep understanding of DERMS and VPP space in North America and Understanding of utility industry and experience selling to all types of utilities
  • Sales and Revenue Generation : 15 - 20 years of experience in sales leadership, business development, and go-to-market strategy development Leadership
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Strong skills in networking and building relationships with key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential clients. Proactive and sales-driven mindset, results oriented.
  • Change Management: Ability to lead and manage change initiatives within the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
  • Market Expansion : Experience in entering new markets or segments, including conducting market research and developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strategic Partnerships : Proven track record in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
