The Demand and Supply Planner (Flow Controller) plays a critical role in managing material and production flow between Schneider Electric and our Contract Manufacturer. This position ensures alignment between engineering releases, procurement, and contract manufacturing activities to support on-time project execution while optimizing lead times and mitigating supply chain risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Production and Material Flow Coordination:

  • Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely release and execution at the contract manufacturing site
  • Collaborate with the contract manufacturer's production planners to sequence jobs efficiently and align priorities
  • Identify and resolve constraints impacting material availability, production capacity, or shipment schedules

Engineering & Procurement Alignment
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to track the status of long-lead time and critical components
  • Expedite orders when necessary to mitigate risks to the production schedule at the contract manufacturer's site

Inventory & Logistic Management
  • Ensure that raw materials, components, and sub assemblies are delivered tot e contract manufacturer in alignment with production schedules
  • Monito inventory levels at the contract manufacturer balancing deliveries with risk mitigation strategies

Cross-Functional Communication & Issue Resolution
  • Act a primary liaison between the company and the contract manufacturer, ensuring alignment on production priorities and issue resolution
  • Lead regular meetings with contract manufacturing teams to review order status, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
  • Provide real-time visibility into material and production flow through dashboards and reports


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in supply chain, production control, or materials management preferably in an ETO environment
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, BOM structures and material planning
  • Ability to work independently at the contract manufacturer's site while collaborating with internal teams.
