Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Data Acquisition Specialist for System.AI in our Power Systems and Services division.

We are seeking a skilled Data Acquisition and Telemetry Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining data acquisition systems and telemetry solutions for select customers within the scope of System.AI Services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of telemetry technologies, and experience in handling large-scale data systems.

- Design and develop data acquisition systems to collect and transmit data from various sources.

- Implement telemetry solutions to ensure real-time data monitoring and reporting.

- Integrate data acquisition and telemetry systems with existing infrastructure.

2. Data Collection and Management:

- Configure and maintain data acquisition hardware and software.

- Ensure data integrity, quality, and availability for analysis and reporting.

- Develop and optimize data collection protocols and procedures.

3. Telemetry and Communication:

- Implement and maintain telemetry systems for real-time data transmission.

- Develop protocols for data transmission over various communication channels (e.g., cellular, satellite, radio).

- Monitor and troubleshoot telemetry systems to ensure reliable data flow.

4. Technical Support and Maintenance:

- Provide technical support for data acquisition and telemetry systems.

- Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system performance and reliability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data acquisition and telemetry systems.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to ensure accurate data collection.

- Develop tools and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

- Generate reports and visualizations to support decision-making processes.

6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

- Stay current with advancements in data acquisition and telemetry technologies.

- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in data collection and telemetry processes.

- Lead initiatives to implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance data acquisition and telemetry systems.

7. Documentation and Compliance:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data acquisition and telemetry systems, including configurations, protocols, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

- Prepare regular reports on system performance, data quality, and project status.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- 5+ years of experience in data acquisition, telemetry, or related fields.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java.

- Strong experience with data acquisition hardware (e.g., sensors, data loggers) and software.

- Familiarity with telemetry technologies and communication protocols.

- Solid understanding of data management, ETL processes, and data analysis tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with IoT (Internet of Things) devices and platforms.

- Knowledge of networking and communication technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, MQTT).

- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
