To further our sustainability goals, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Climate Project Manager who will be based in Brussels, Belgium or in Budapest, Hungary and who will play a crucial role in:
  • Calculating, Analyzing, and Communicating GHG Inventory: You will manage the greenhouse gas inventory and energy consumption data, ensuring compliance with evolving reporting requirements (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, and regulations in regions such as India and Australia).
  • Driving Carbon Reduction Initiatives: You will support the implementation of strategies related to Scope 1 and 2 emissions, including renewable electricity sourcing and fleet electrification, to help meet our Group-wide climate commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting: Oversee reporting for Scope 1 and 2 GHG inventory, energy consumption, and our SSE #7/EV100 commitment. This includes data collection, calculations, disclosures across various platforms, participation in audits, and documentation of processes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance reporting processes and methodologies, with a focus on digitization projects, starting with fleet reporting.
  • Decarbonization Strategy Support: Assist in defining carbon and energy policies and objectives for our sites and fleet, contributing to the implementation of our decarbonization strategy.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of carbon reduction initiatives, update GHG emissions forecasts, and track progress against climate targets.
  • Benchmarking: Analyze Schneider Electric's performance in sustainability against competitors and industry leaders to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in GHG quantification and accounting, science-based target setting, and the design and implementation of decarbonization action plans, or related areas.


Skills:
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is not required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with GHG quantification and accounting, particularly the GHG Protocol.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Team Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with virtual teams.
  • Proactive Mindset: Eager to enhance processes and establish constructive feedback loops.
