We are looking for an Industrial Automation Water/Wastewater (WWW) Business Development Manager to establish and strengthen sales relationships with end-user customers, driving incremental business growth by prospecting for new customers and identifying new opportunities at existing ones. Y ou will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from identifying opportunities, engaging subject matter experts and partners, facilitating long term support, and providing a great customer experience.
Other essential job functions include, but not limited to, the following:
- Identifying, engaging, and supporting partners with expertise in water segment offers, applications, services, and solutions. (Automation Alliance Distributors, System Integrators, Electrical Contractors, Panel Builders, OEMs, and Consulting Engineers).
- Articulating and presenting Schneider's WWW Value Proposition.
- Advocating for Universal Automation and Aveva software solutions.
Experience:
- 8 or more years of complex industrial automation and/or software solution selling experience in continuous process industries. (Water, Wastewater, Oil and Gas, Chemical, Mining, Minerals or Metals). Preference will be given for Water/Wastewater experience.
- 5 or more years working with systems integrators and consulting firms on large projects.
- Track record of meeting/exceeding yearly sales quota.
- Track record of new customers and business acquisition.
Skills:
- Strong ability to identify and self-generate business leads and opportunities.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders in your customer base across levels of leadership, operations teams, and technical resources.
- Strong knowledge of automation hardware, such as controllers, communication network devices and protocols, variable frequency drives, telemetry solutions, and intelligent devices.
- Strong knowledge of industrial software solutions, such as SCADA, industrial data management solutions, asset management solutions, or IIoT technologies.
Education:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- A graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics is an asset, but not required.
