DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join our team specializing in Sales for Cummins in Czech Republic.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead Off-Highway engine sales within the Czech Republic and Slovakia, managing and growing accounts through EBU and DBU sales channels to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify, research, and engage prospective customers, developing new opportunities and fostering strong customer relationships that support long-term business growth.
- Create and implement account plans for key clients and top prospects, conducting regular face-to-face meetings to understand client needs, business models, and purchasing processes.
- Utilize knowledge of customer priorities to present Cummins products as solutions, guiding clients in evaluating options and demonstrating the unique advantages of Cummins solutions.
- Manage administrative sales tasks, including updating pricing, annual specifications, and demand forecasts, and report sales activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool as directed.
- Conduct negotiations within company guidelines, including setting payment terms and assisting with collections to maintain acceptable levels of past-due accounts, collaborating with customers to resolve any delinquent payments.
- Maintain and track sales forecasts, regularly evaluating performance against projections to inform sales strategies and ensure accurate pipeline management.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior account executives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align inventory, service, and delivery capabilities with customer expectations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Fluency in both Czech and English is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences and adapt messaging to meet the unique needs of each customer.
- Proven experience in account management and business development, with a demonstrated ability to nurture existing business and drive growth with new target customers.
- Strong ownership mindset, capable of taking responsibility for current opportunities and actively identifying and progressing new sales opportunities to achieve business goals.
- Solid business insight, with a deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics to strategically advance organizational objectives.
- Customer-focused approach, skilled at building strong, long-term customer relationships and delivering tailored, customer-centric solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Required: College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales related work experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
