Job purpose
The purpose of this role is to help customers achieve their business objectives through SE IPA Digital Solution Offers.

- Ecostruxture Automation Expert (EAE)
- Proleit
- Cybersecurity Solutions and Services
- Industrial Digital Transformation Consulting
- AVEVA
You will grow the Digital Solutions business at Schneider Electric, through working closely with Sales Partners , Channel Partners and System Integrators, Industrial Automation Global Delivery Organisation, Line Of Business and End Users.
This role will identify new sales and project opportunities for both new and existing end users whilst developing new value proposition within their segment using a consultative technical sales approach. Through strategic planning, opportunity analysis, and relationship building you will establish and grow Schneiders OT software solutions business.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a dynamic opportunity portfolio across UK&I
- Generating healthy pipeline of opportunities working closely with offer managers to meet customer requirements.
- Creating and maintaining meaningful and trusted relationships with high level decision makers and technical authorities. Leveraging these relationships during pursuit and execution is key to succeeding in this role.
- Gaining preferred status in project specifications for Schneider Electric products, software, and solutions to maximise our offers.
- Analysing customer requirements and working within the Schneider eco-system to address the customer needs.
- The expectation is that all Business Development Manager candidates will have the interest and capacity to learn and articulate disruptive digital transformation solutions.
- Create and maintain close working relationships with customer C Level as well as internal Schneider Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Tendering, Commercial & Project Delivery teams.
- Work independently as the key Digital Transformation business development manager in a geographic area.
- Own the Digital Solutions strategy for the associated segment\sub segment.
Skills & Experience:
- Successful experience in atleast (1) segment business development specifically among:
- MMM, Food and Beverage, Life Sciences, Mobility/Transportation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as analytical skills.
- Accustomed to fast-changing, complex and ambiguous environment.
- Structured, organised and capable of successfully handling multiple tasks.
- Business Developer - proven track record of OT Software Solutions sales.
- Team Player - passionate and dynamic professional with the energy and ability to obtain alignment and work effectively across teams and functions.
- Responsible for portfolio of sales in region of £2-5m p/a.
